A padel court project has many steps, and most delays happen when two steps are done in the wrong order. Here is a simple overview of a typical project – from the first idea to the first match – and who is responsible for what when you buy Padel Tech courts through Padel Provider.
1. Idea and budget
Start with the basics: how many courts, indoor or outdoor, and which court model. Get an indicative price in our court configurator, and test the business case with our guides to costs and business plans. Our article on how many courts to build helps you choose the right size.
2. Site and location
Find and secure the site. For indoor projects, check ceiling height, column spacing and floor. For outdoor projects, check drainage, access for trucks and distance to neighbours. See our guide to choosing a location. Responsible: the customer.
3. Quote and technical specifications
Send us the number of courts, the model and your country. We send a quote for courts, upgrades, freight and installation, together with the technical specifications your contractor needs for the slab. Responsible: Padel Provider.
4. Permits
Apply for building and electrical permits where needed. Rules differ by country and municipality, so start early – permits can take longer than anything else in the project. Read our guide to padel permits. Responsible: the customer.
5. Financing
Decide how to pay for the project – cash, loan or leasing. Our article on padel court financing compares the options. Responsible: the customer.
6. Order
When the quote, permits and financing are in place, you confirm the order. According to Padel Tech’s terms, 50% is paid when the order is confirmed. Production then starts at Padel Tech in Spain.
7. Foundation and site preparation
While the courts are being produced, your contractor builds the concrete slab according to the technical specifications. This is the step that most often causes delays, so plan it carefully and check the slab before delivery. Read what to ask your contractor. Responsible: the customer.
8. Delivery
The courts are shipped by truck to your site. You need equipment ready to unload the trucks when they arrive. Responsible: Padel Provider arranges delivery; the customer provides unloading equipment.
9. Installation
Padel Tech’s assembly team installs the courts. The site must be ready, with access, power and the machinery the team needs. Responsible: installation by Padel Tech’s team; site readiness by the customer.
10. Handover and opening
You check the finished courts together with the installation team. The final 50% is paid after installation. Then it is time to open – read our 90-day marketing plan for new padel centres.
The most common mistakes
- Ordering before permits are clear. If a permit is delayed, the courts may arrive before the site is ready.
- Starting the slab without the specifications. The slab must match the technical requirements of the courts.
- Forgetting unloading and access. Trucks and equipment need room to move on site.
- No buffer in the plan. Weather and contractors can cause delays. Build in some margin before your opening date.
