Most delays on padel projects happen on site, not in the factory. When the trucks arrive, the slab, access and equipment need to be ready. Here is how delivery and installation work for Padel Tech courts bought through Padel Provider – and how to avoid waiting time and extra costs.
The process step by step
- Quote: courts, upgrades, freight and installation for your site.
- Order: 50% payment when you confirm the order.
- Production: the courts are made by Padel Tech in Spain.
- Delivery: the courts are shipped by truck to your site.
- Installation: Padel Tech’s assembly team installs the courts.
- Handover: you check the courts together, and the last 50% is paid after installation.
What you need to have ready
According to Padel Tech’s quotation conditions, the customer provides the following:
- A finished concrete slab that meets the technical specifications
- Permits and electrical permits
- Equipment to unload the trucks when they arrive
- Machinery the assembly team needs for the installation
- Clear access for trucks to the site
Plan the slab with enough time to cure before the installation date, and confirm the unloading plan with your contractor before the trucks leave Spain.
Freight details
Freight is quoted per project based on your location. Transport is covered under LOTT/CMR conditions, and the goods are non-ADR (not dangerous goods). The conditions state a maximum weight of 24.5 tonnes per shipment, which matters if your site has weight limits on access roads. Transport and installation prices can change during the year, so the quote you sign is what counts.
Outside the EU: customs
For countries outside the EU, such as the United Kingdom, customs clearance, customs costs and official taxes are not included. The conditions include up to one hour of waiting time at customs. Additional time is charged at €60 per hour, and if import customs is delayed by more than 24 hours, the importer pays truck detention of €500 per day. Use a customs agent and have the paperwork ready before the trucks arrive.
| CUSTOMS ITEM | CONDITION |
|---|---|
| Waiting time at customs included | 1 hour |
| Extra waiting time | €60 per hour |
| Delay over 24 hours at import customs | €500 per day truck detention |
