Padel court maintenance checklist

Good maintenance protects your warranty and keeps courts playing well for years. Here is what to check, and how often.

A padel court is built to last for years, but routine maintenance is what keeps it playing well and keeps your warranty valid. As covered in our warranty guide, following the maintenance protocols is a condition of the warranty, not just good practice. Here is a practical checklist split by how often each task should happen.

Daily or after each session

  • Brush the turf in high-traffic zones such as the service boxes and net area to keep the fibres upright.
  • Check that doors close and latch properly.
  • Look for loose sand or infill building up in corners.
  • Report any visible glass damage immediately, even small chips.

Weekly

  • Brush the full court surface, not just the high-traffic zones, to keep infill levels even.
  • Check and clean glass panels of dust, dirt and marks.
  • Inspect net height and tension.
  • Check LED lighting for any flickering or failed fittings.

Monthly

  • Check bolts and fixings on the structure and doors for looseness.
  • Inspect glass fixings and rubber seals for wear.
  • Check drainage, especially on outdoor courts, to confirm water is clearing properly after rain.
  • Top up turf infill (sand) where levels have dropped.

Yearly

  • Full inspection of the steel structure for corrosion, touching up any scratches in the paint promptly, as corrosion is explicitly excluded once it has taken hold.
  • Deep clean and full infill top-up across the whole court.
  • Check all LED fittings and replace any that are below full output.
  • Review the court against the original maintenance documentation provided at handover.

Outdoor courts: extra attention

Outdoor courts are exposed to rain, sun and temperature swings, which makes drainage checks and prompt paint touch-ups even more important than on indoor courts. After storms or heavy rain, check the court for debris and standing water before the next session.

Keep records

Keep a simple log of what was checked and when. If a warranty question comes up later, being able to show that maintenance was carried out as described in your documentation makes the process far smoother.

When to call for support

Structural issues, persistent lighting faults, or any doubt about whether something affects the warranty should go to your supplier rather than being handled informally on site. If you ordered a safety kit with your courts, it covers common small repairs like glass panels, net parts and LED components, so you are not waiting on a part when something needs replacing.

Frequently asked questions

How often should padel turf be brushed?

High-traffic zones ideally after each session, with a full court brush at least weekly to keep infill levels even.

Why does maintenance affect my warranty?

The warranty on Padel Tech courts requires that the maintenance protocols provided at handover are followed; skipping them can affect a warranty claim.

What should I check monthly on a padel court?

Bolts and fixings, glass fixings and seals, drainage on outdoor courts, and turf infill levels.

Does outdoor weather affect maintenance needs?

Yes. Outdoor courts need more frequent drainage checks and prompt paint touch-ups to prevent corrosion from rain and sun exposure.
