Padel court glass and turf options

What the choices for glass and artificial turf mean, with indicative extra prices per court.

Courts · Updated 5 October 2026

Glass and turf are two of the choices that most change how a court feels and what it costs. These are the options we offer on our courts from Padel Tech. Prices are indicative extras per court, in euro excl. VAT, freight and installation, relative to the standard specification (10 mm tempered glass, Real Turf green fibrillated).

Glass

OptionExtra per court
10 mm tempered glassIncluded
12 mm tempered glass+€520
6+6 mm laminated glass+€3,870

Thicker or laminated glass is a typical upgrade for heavy use and tournament-level courts. Laminated glass is made of two layers bonded together.

The turf type affects playing feel, wear and look. Blue and green are both available. Ask your supplier for samples and for the sand-filling and maintenance requirements of each type.

How to choose

Match the specification to how the court will be used: casual play, a busy club or tournaments. Compare suppliers on the same specification, see how to choose a supplier, and price your options in the configurator.

Matching the specification to your use

UseTypical direction
Casual play, lower budgetStandard 10 mm tempered glass; Real Turf fibrillated
Busy club or centre12 mm tempered glass; monofilament or curly turf
Tournaments and events12 mm or laminated glass; high-quality turf; Competition lighting
Visual identityBlue or green turf; consider video and TV requirements

These are directions, not rules. Your own priorities – durability, playing feel, look and budget – decide.

Questions to ask about the turf

  • How much sand fill does it need, and how often should it be maintained?
  • How does it behave under heavy use?
  • How does it play – speed and bounce?
  • What is the expected service life, and is there a warranty?

Colour and video

Colour is more than taste. If you will host tournaments or film matches, check what is accepted and how the colour looks on camera – see black padel courts for the current discussion. Classic blue and green typically work well for cameras.

Price your options

Use the configurator to see the effect of each option on the price per court, and send us the setup you like.
